UNM Collegiate Climbing Team is Here!
Brandi is proud to coach the newly-formed University of New Mexico Collegiate Climbing Team. She will coach the team with fellow professional climber, Timy Fairfield and Assistant Coach Bill Sprague.
Brandi and Timy have been working with the UNM Mountain Club to develop a Collegiate Climbing Team, which will train together weekly. Most students on the team will also compete in the USAC Collegiate Climbing Competition Series, which runs January-April of each year. Practices will be conducted throughout the entire school year.
All UNM students, full or part-time, are eligible for Team enrollment. All abilities, from beginners to advanced climbers, are welcome and encouraged to participate. Please email Brandi if you would like more information.
Team benefits include:
Structured weekly practice with professional climbers/trainers Timy Fairfield and Brandi Proffitt.
Technical movement skill development, sport-specific strength training, cardio training, fall safety training, nutritional information and guidance, mental tactics for onsighting, redpointing and competition.
Product sponsorship and discounts on gear from select companies.
Access to private Albuquerque climbing facilities.
Participation in competition is not required.
